DESCRIPTION:NSS Unit I & II of AVP CAS is going to  organizing a 7-Day Special Camp at Kannakampalayam village from 27 February 2026 to 5 March 2026 under the theme “Youth for Cleanliness” along  with 100 Nss volunteers. \nDay :1 -The National Service Scheme (NSS) 7-Day Special Camp of AVP College of Arts and Science was inaugurated at Kannakampalayam Village. The camp was formally inaugurated by Mr. Vijayakumar\, Deputy Block Development Officer\, Kannakampalayam\, and Mr. Senthilkumar\, Secretary of Kannakampalayam Village. \nDuring the programme\, awareness was created about the harmful effects of drug abuse and related social issues. Following the inaugural session\, volunteers distributed notices\, conducted surveys on village issues\, and visited each house to carry out a Village Household Survey.

Around 120 students from various departments participated in the competition individually. The event aimed to enhance students’ literary knowledge and encourage intellectual engagement. It was a platform for students to showcase their understanding of grammar\, literature and language. The quiz was a huge success\, with participants engaging enthusiastically.

The programme aimed to enhance students’ literary knowledge and encourage intellectual engagement through a competitive and interactive platform. The event was convened by Dr. L. Mahalakshmi\, Associate Professor and Head\, School of Liberal Arts–English\, and coordinated by Ms. A. Saranya and Ms. V. Nandhini\, Assistant Professors. Students actively participated in various rounds that tested their understanding of authors\, works\, literary periods\, and critical concepts. The quiz witnessed enthusiastic involvement\, fostering team spirit\, critical thinking\, and a deeper appreciation for English literature among the participants\, making the event both informative and memorable.
