Office of the Controller of Examinations

A. V. P. College of Arts and Science has been conferred with Autonomous status by UGC from 15.09.2025 for a period of ten years from 2025 – 2026 to 2034 -2035. The Office of Controller of Examinations was established in the year 2025 to ensure transparency, fairness, and compliance with Autonomous College regulations while maintaining high academic standards.

Examination System

Choice Based Credit System with Outcome Based Education

The UG and PG Curriculum follows Outcome Based Education with CBCS pattern and the medium of instruction is English. All the Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) Examinations are conducted in accordance with Programme-specific Regulations formulated by the Academic Council and approved by the Governing Body. The curriculum structure, course modules and question papers are aligned with these Regulations.

The Office of Controller of Examinations is responsible for conducting all the examinations and issuing Statement of Marks with required security features. The final degree certificate is awarded by the Bharathiar University.

Continuous Internal Assessment is carried out by the Course Instructors based on norms set by the Academic Council. The End Semester Examinations including Theory, Practical, Project Evaluation, and Viva voce shall be conducted based on the guidelines approved by the Academic Council.
