The School of Liberal Arts – English has successfully organized a One-Day International Webinar on “Indian Knowledge System and Contemporary Literary Studies” on 20 July 2026 at 10.00 a.m. The webinar aimed to explore the relevance of India’s rich cultural, literary, and intellectual traditions in contemporary literary studies. The programme featured two insightful sessions by eminent academicians: Dr. Aravindan Balakrishnan, Professor, University of Technology and Applied Sciences, Nizwa, Sultanate of Oman, who spoke on “The Tapestry of Identity: Community, Culture and Folklore,” and Dr. V. Madhavi Nikam, Professor and Head, R.K. Talreja College, Mumbai, who delivered a lecture on “Indigenous Narratives: Voices of Resistance, Resilience, and Renewal.” The webinar witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, researchers, scholars, and students.
